Thanks R4. A guy from the machine shop is stopping by work today to have a look at it. Before I give it to him to have any work performed, I'll check it with the head gasket in place, and post a pic of what it looks like here.

If you lay the gasket on the head and the steel rings (furels) do not go over any of the damaged part, you will have good compression seal. Should any of the damage be under a furel, you would have a problem and repair would be necessary.

I guess I left out the part that the machine shop took the cylinder head yesterday, and fixed my shipping blunder. The mark(no ofense to anyone named mark) is all smoothed out, and the head did not have to be surfaced. All ok at this time, and ready for me to continue this process. :woohoo:
