Clutch cable on 77 kz1000

where does the clutch cable go on a 77 kz1000? new to the kz and cant find where the clutch cable is supposed to be located.

is there a certain mechanism i need for it?

Sitting on the bike(or golf-cart)...left side engine cover(clutch cover)...the cable gets fed through there,coming down from the lever,up on the handlebars...

ok, it never had a clutch part on there when i bought it. never had a cable or nothing. so im trying to put one on there and cant find where a clutch cable should go!

You can see the cable coming into the cover,and connecting to the mechanism for the "clutch push-rod"
