I just got 2-2.60's from Z1, unfortunately they don't have any 2.55's...at least didn't have any as of last week but it never hurts to ask.

Sorry, I didn't keep a record. As soon as I hit the warm gooey center I abandoned the whole idea. It was on a 12mm shim, so I don't know if the info would help anyway.

You should probably not worry about the hardening. As I said before, if you put the grinded face down, there's no problem...
