Exhaust question?

Just curious as the manual does not give a torque spec for the exhaust collar nuts, just tighten to seat the pipes, run the bike, then re-check. Any tips or should I just let common sense prevail? (Famous last words  ) Thanks all.

You just have to "get a feel" for the tightening. I know that if you haven't done much mechanical work then this doesn't help but.......
I always use a 3/8" drive ratchet but always hold it right over the head of the wrench and since my bolts are all the same length I watch closely the amount of threads showing and the gap between the collar and the head.

Happy wrenching.
