i'm getting the 1170cc 10.5:1 pistons for my bike and i was curious as to if i could reuse my headbolts and wrist pins, anyone care to chime in.

i'm getting this from ape, i also want to get a set of street/race springs, do i need their spring retainers or would these work just fine.

piston kit should come with wristpins and clips.match your valvetrain to your cams,if your cams need shim under buckets you need to change your retainers;)

You have three choices. Re-use your stock head nuts. This will work fine especially if you re-anneal the copper washers on the outer studs. You can buy aftermarket nuts; K&L sells them. I have not had good luck using these as they are somewhat smaller diameter compared to the stockers and tend to allow leaks from the oil journals (outside studs). You can buy APE head nuts which are stronger than the stockers and shaped the same. These will work fine as well, I suspect but cost quite a bit as memory serves.

Any new piston kit that you get from us will come with new pins.

Just looked in the new K&L book, and they don't have head nuts. All I could find were regular flange nuts. We are the only ones that make a head nut that is stronger than oem.

Jay-
Are those nuts stamped(forged) or turned?

Ours are CNC machined from billet bar stock then heat treated.
