 :ohmy:bearings look good to me, I would take a green scotch brite pad, some light oil, and a light buff, very light buff, just to clean off any scratches that may be on them , put them back in and reinstall the cams, replace the idler, check the valve lash, and run it

well they aint perfect, but they will work, they are not down to brass, there is still a lot of life left in them, yes there are some marks on them, but the scotch brite and oil will shine them right back up.
But as wireman says they are not the best, and if you want you could replace them,'
bow down to the wireman god,or he may sick the road runner on me

Well, ok, it must be said in my defence that it was the first time I used plastigage.
Well...
Thanks for noticing it !!!
The scale on the plastigage reads (.038), not (0.38)
Looks to be within specification?? 0.38 is almost a half-inch!
Regards...

they are usable but ya can see were the oil hasnt been changed reguarly and those little flakes missing out of bearings bear a striking resemblance to the little flakes on the cam bearing surface which will grind their way into the bearing if they are not removed;)The cams are fine.
