biggest a j can get?

the ape website shows that a gpz1100 can be sleeved out on a stock block to 1260cc, however it doesnt say for the j, the most that it shows for a j model is 1075.

is the gpz1100 block bigger? or is it just the bore and will the 1260cc pistons and sleeves will work in my j?

also what do they mean when they mention "cleaning the cases?

yes im sure you can go same as the kz1100 and gpz100b1/2
you may need to get a kz1100 set of barrels mind you.
i have a set with nasty rusty sleeves push them out push in new sleeves and your be good to go i would think.
or their dime a dozen on e-bay.

Just eyeballing, the 1089 block looks meatier. You can bore the stock 1100 sleeves to 1170. Some say 1200(76mm) but that cuts the wall down to just a tad over a mm thickness which seems very thin to me. I've been trying to decide whether or not to try a 76mm bore on the stock 1089 sleeves. Probably hold out for larger sleeves because I can't afford the experiment.

Oversize sleeves require additional clearance in the upper case.

i was curious as if i could re sleeve my block and punch it out to 1260ccc, thats the most a resleeved gpz block can be bored and i dont know if it applies to a j block.

My neighbor has 1435cc on his J.
I don't know all the details, but the pistons are from APE.
