probably cam motion z4 or[ z7 for high compression]. both require heavier springs and shorter guides.z7 requires 650 shim under bucket.I have z4s in my 1075 12/1 with 33s stock self ported head. it runs really good around town ,on highway ect .its alittle loapy up to about 2500 from there it starts to cackle to about 3200 where it really kicks in and pulls all the way to 10000.the profiles are at star racing.com.ape has simillar grinds also.I myself ,will be trying the gasser setup on my 1197,[ high lift on the intake]later on, when I get some more time to build this thing. don't know if it will work or not on the street, just gotta try. keep us posted on how yours goes

I'd second that nomination for cams.

If you want to stay with shim on top, use our K410. If going to shim on bottom, K435.

The 435 is what comes in our 1200cc engine kits and is very popular.

I am rebuilding my 1975 z1 900, I as well am putting in a 1197 CC with a z5 intake and a z4 ex. with shims under the buckets...I had my crank weld at Falicon, I am running a set of 36mm Mikuni, I ported my own head, and it also has a spark plug head on it....
