i am in need of some help. i have just installed my camshafts and, i am trying to tighten them down but, i am having a hard timegetting them just right, i used the tightening sequence in the manual but, for some reason, it is not working to my advantage. is there a secret to getting the cams on right? i have a 1977 kz1000ltd.

Stripping female threads in the head can be a problem.
Here's one of the links from a search on "cam bolts"
cam bolts
Recall bearing inserts under the cam caps should go back in their original locations.

There is some side play when you just set your cams in place... make sure you have them centered or you may be catching a lip which isn't allowing them to seat.

thanks a bunch. i am tryinhg to figure it out. i was reading threadnamed cam bolts and,i saw where it said that the service manual promotes ripping the threads out.is there a certain way you would suggest?
