Vance and Hines Exhaust on KZ750E
06 Mar 2007 17:23
Just for the heck of it, I made a short video and put it on You Tube at
this link
When I was looking for sound files last year before I bought the pipe, I couldn't find anything, and there still isn't much out there, so I thought this might be helpful to someone.
The baffle had a layer of fiberglass fabric and a ~3/4" thick fiberglass batt rolled around that. I cut off enough that it wrapped about one time around. No wrap was a bit too loud - no baffle was way too loud:blink:

C[_]
1981 KZ750E, about 21K original miles
V&H pipe, Givi Handlebar windscreen,
530 chain and sprockets, Koni shocks, jet kit,
stock air box. US spec bike purchased new in Germany
Ridden many years with Windjammer and
Krauser bags/rack (disintegrated with age - something I'm
trying not to do!)

So THAT's what mine would sound like! Sweet.
Now if I can just find a clip of Mac 4-2's with turnout mufflers, I'd know for sure if they are what I want!
Wishful thinking on that tho!
