Quick easy question
24 Feb 2007 08:04
I just read in my Clymer manual that you can just pull out the rubber cam plugs and wrap them in teflon tape on page 73 of the book for my 81 kz1000. It doesnt say in the book but I know I will have to remove that cover bolt at the ends. So do the plugs come out without removing the cam cover?

you need to remove valve cover to do it,im not sure about the teflon tape idea,id be worried about it getting sucked in there.

Hey sorry to even have posted this, done it already, just did it. Pretty easy too but didn't use the tape, just stuck to good old sealant. I only had to remove the bolt on the outer ends, but I do need new ones now since I can't even tell if they are supposed to be rubber or plastic!
