Does anyone know if there are aluminum secondary drive sprockets available for my 750 twin? I need a 17 and a 38 tooth. TIA, Matt

not sure if the 750 sprockets will swap with 650 sprockets, but I have a 02zx7 rear sprocket that will bolt up to a 650 rear wheel, the "hole" in the center is a bit bigger, but the bolt pattern is the same

They actually work pretty well as long as they are kept lubed, cleaned and at the proper tension.

Im going to make a guess and say half as many miles as steel ones. but they are light as a feather, and the plus side to it is its not just taking weight off of the bike, its taking off rotating weight. which means better acceleration. I think I read somewhere that taking off 1 pound of rotating weight = taking off 7 pounds of "regular" (not moving ex: extra metal tabs) weight

You have mag wheels on that 750 twin?

My reason for asking that is that I have discovered that steel sprockets are not available for the Morris Mags that were a dealer installed option for the 76-79 twins. I had to get an aluminum rear sprocket from Sprocket Specialist as no one makes a steel rear for them. I had 17/38 on my last 79 with Morris mags, my new set has a 37 on the rear and I'm going with a 17 front.

One of the PM wheels uses the same sprocket, but I forget which one. Pay the extra $$ for the coating, makes the sprocket last longer.
