chapstick works good on carb gaskets to keep them from sticking;)As a matter of fact, I even go further and apply a thin layer of anti-sieze on the gasket. Then it comes off in one piece with no scraping later on. (I don't reuse the gasket, I just do it because i hate scraping.) The key is that the surfaces have to be absolutely clean and smooth then they won't leak. So does anyone know an easy way to get OLD gaskets off? Apart from scraping for hours and hours and hours!
