cheap valve spring compressor was created by mountain

Take a 3/4" rigid steel pipe and cut with a sawzall (carefully) the little jig in the attached picture. Then, any 5 or 6 inch c-clamp can push this down over the valve washer and you can pull out the split keepers through the "window". Vlave compressors cost way too much.

1977 KZ 650 B1, I own two of them. Working on one custom rebuild, one daily rider. Used to have a third. Two 1978 KZ 650 C2 models, sold both. KZ owner since 1987.

oops, I'm still trying to get the hang of posting pictures.

I made my own too, theres a "how to" in the filebase. great to see another DIY guy
