Motorcycle Pro Shop lists two 4/1 Jardine exhaust systems for KZ1100 (chrome or black).
Are existing header pipes beyond recovery by sand blasting and hi-temp painting?

A Kerker ought to work, but it's expensive, around $450 new.
I think KZ1000 exhaust will bolt right on, so you don't have to limit your search to KZ1100.
Kerkers are kind of scarce in good used condition, I have beem searching for a Kerker for a 1000 for a little while now with no success, although I'd rather have a Yoshimura.
Is that a MAC exhaust on there now?

highspeedjelly: I have the same bike you do with a Jardine(chrome) 4 into 1...In hereently, they're pretty quiet( the baffle appears to be riveted in...all in all, the pipe did make a difference ..better mid-range and a little better hi end. I had to raise needles to 4th position (already have pods..
Check Jardines own site for prices as well as the numerous parts outllets for aftermarket exhaust BE SURE and use new exhaust washers when installing .

Thanks.
Jardine looks nice and I can buy one here in australia.Would fit a stock system
If I could find some headers but they are really hard to find here in australia because the KZ1100 was not popular here.
I think its exhaust system is different to the kz1000st but I am not sure about that?
The current system could be ceramic coated for about $100 but it seems crazy to remove it every 5000ks (3000 mls) would much rather have access to the filter.I plan on using this bike for a round trip of australia even though I have a new modern bike. This old thing is actually more comfortable and less taxing to ride believe it or not.
I am a little concerned about reliabilty as it looked very run down when I bought it but it has only covered 26000 mls from new and has a very quite motor.
Are these bikes as reliable as the 70s Z900s /Z1000s etc ?
