Late model exhaust on an older KZ was created by Wildog
I just scored a late model carbon fiber D&D race slip-on through ebay for $50 bucks and was thinking of using my old mac header and welding in a new mid-pipe to get a nice high turn-up look. My 78 KZ650 has already had the tail shortened and a high flip up job done with a single seat and I thought this can would look great turned up to match the lines of the tail. My question is has anyone used a late model can on a KZ and how do they sound. I know they all have different tones, right now I have a chrome Kerker 4into one on the bike with no packing. Also if anyone has some pics of a late model setup on a KZ that would be great. Below is the type of can I got for a 600cc bike.

I have a pipe and can from a zx6 on my 78 1000. I love it. It looks cool but it's a bit quiet. I'm trying to get it apart to pull some stuffing out of it but it's a little tough. Other than that it's cool. I have a Mac header and went to Mienike (spelling) and had them bend and weld a piece onto the header to fit the pipe. The kid that did it was so tired of working on cars I probably could have had him do it for free. It did cost me $35.
