kz 750 help with clutch cable ?

'springing back' of the lever. Is there something missing like a spring and if so where?? remember I
bought this bike as a basket case all in different boxes.... thanks...

Well, yes. There are a handful of springs in the clutch basket itself. There's the long clutch push-rod and it's single ball bearing. There's (to a lesser extent) the cable seat (which has no actual return strength) and then make sure the engine side case is actually seated well and tight.So, in the rebuilding stage of an 82 kz750 twin and while placing in the clutch cable I noticed almost no
'springing back' of the lever. Is there something missing like a spring and if so where?? remember I

It fits between the cover and the clutch release lever, over the cable.

It might be the first time I've ever been told that......biquetoast is right though...
