If you're doing the 810cc (which uses 750cc cylinders, etc), and unless you already have all the differences in specs, then you're going to need two manuals - one for the 650 and one for the 750.
Personally I prefer Clymer over Haynes.
IMHO the wording in the Haynes manual used to describe parts and procedures seems vague at best, and usually leaves you guessing at what is correct or incorrect. :pinch:

many people have their preference, but i'm a mechanical novice and i find them all worth the money.....haynes/clymer/OEM kawasaki.....even the (free) kawasaki parts diagrams at kawasaki.com
if i'm in the middle of working on the bike, a single picture or explanation in one of the books can make all the difference...
btw, you can order a photocopy of the OEM manual from kawasaki for about $80....just call kawasaki in california...at kawasaki.com
...a year ago, i left 2 voicemails with kawasaki canada for the same thing, and they still haven't returned the calls... :pinch: ....

Here are a couple used KZ650 factory service manuals. You may want to contact the sellers to see exactly which model year each covers:
Publication date = 1976 $21.75 www.abebooks.com/servlet/BookDetails?bi=501317623
Publication date = 1977 $7.00 www.abebooks.com/servlet/BookDetails?bi=468839154
Good luck,

I like Clymers. The factory manual sometimes assumes you already know what you are doing.
