Finally get time to tweak that clutch with a new upgrade, and those old engine case screws just don't want to go quitely (all being replaced w/ Allen head bolts now!). This one of course was the last removed, had to grind the head off, and pray I could back out the
barrel. I'm already looking at a helicoil in one, (on top of the case) but this one, if it broke off, would have been far harder at the bottom of the case. Why is it the ones that are the most difficult to get at are
the biggest problem? I dunno, but success, after being really patient (30 minutes), it gave it up.

Whew! After the electrical harness rebuild this winter, along with this clutch nonsense, there better be good spring riding weather. Um, what am I thinking... better get the clutch done, weatherman says 55 tomorrow!

Man i feel your pain, I had to redo my harness and unstick the clutch (I "accidentally" punched a hole in the clutch cover trying to get the dang rusted kicker lever off) and have been doing nothing but working on the bike ever since I bought it last May (wrestling with the forks currently). I did get to ride it around the streets a couple of days before winter but man this season better be killer cause I'm not doing all this work for nothin, know what I mean?

Thanks for the support, guys!

Sometimes I feel like the town crazy wrenching on an old bike, but, you're right, it feels good on the street
when a unique classic like this turns heads!

I'm really looking forward to dropping in my new
Z-1 Enterprises clutch plate "mushroom", just to get
all that moves among the plates real smooooove!!!

nielage66,

Sure! Clutch Roller Push Rod Kit, I think it was
called...

Try this link...

www.z1enterprises.com/detail.aspx?ID=257

My original is worn kinda thin, this one is a little
beefier, with additional bearings for extra slippage.

At least I'm hoping thats what will happen!
