wondering if there is a bore kit for said bike...not sure of letter designation...but has black mags

also wondering what engine parts are interchangable...carbs, etc...also differences from the 650..

Only the 550 ignition parts and oil filter are interchangeable with the 650, as far as I know. Points must stay with points-coils, though. The engines are pretty much completely different, otherwise. The 650 is interchangeable with 750 fours.

The 615 kit is the most common kit out there.
