That should be easily fixable.
I've seen that situation several times with J heads where the bolt hole gets stipped out on the end like that. Depending on how big of a chunk of the head is missing, the repair may or may not require machining after the weld repair. It depends a lot on how good the welder is as well.
It's possible that it can even be repaired without removing the head from the block. The picture does not show the extent of the break so judgement is difficult.
Find a welder with considerable talent in your area and see if he can [in his opinion] repair it on the bike. You'd want to remove the valve cover prior to having him look things over. A little talent will go a long way in this project...
Redrill and rethread after the repair. You must use care to not get material down in the motor..

Awesome thanks for the tips guys. I am hopefully going to get the bike to a machine shop in the next couple of weeks to see if they could do a fix on it. and yes the boss where the stud threads into is completely broken off and missing so I guess i will give it a shot. If it doesn't work I guess i can always get a new head. not like it is going to get wrecked any worse having the spot welded.
