A very fine day on the road with my wife and a good friend
Yesterday 10:36
We set off at 10:00 a.m. from our meeting point at a gas station—tanked up and ready to go—heading southeast and following the river. We stopped in a town along the way for an excellent meal at an Italian restaurant before continuing on. The scenery was magnificent, traffic was very light, and the temperature was a pleasant 23°C. It’s one of my favorite routes for spirited riding—about 230 km in total, featuring wonderful curves and perfect asphalt—the kind of road where you can really test the limits when it’s clear. We were incredibly lucky today; every single one of the roughly 30 curves was free of other cars, so we could pretty much keep the throttle wide open
We took a few short breaks along the way; everything was relaxed, and we had a great time. We were back home by 7:00 p.m. It was also great that there wasn't a single close call or dangerous situation caused by other road users. It was a fantastic day with my wife riding pillion and our friend on his beautiful Z1000A2 with its 4-into-4 exhaust system. Our riding styles were perfectly in sync once again! Sometimes, you just get one of those days where everything clicks!

What a perfect day Joe, super envious but also super happy for you having such a great ride out. Looking forward to getting out on my bike soon, once I have recovered from another injury. I had Carpal tunnel surgery 8 weeks ago, and fractured a bone in my foot last Saturday so am now in a moon boot. They say what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, well I must be iron man now
)) especially with my titanium neck joint!!! Love your reports mate, and hopefully soon will be able to add some of my own soon.

Hi Rich,
It’s sad to hear you’re injured again; I had been wondering why I hadn't heard anything from you! I wish you a good recovery and a full return to health! Spring is starting for you, too, and hopefully the coming summer "down under" will bring you some fun on the bike again!!
All the best, my friend!!!
Cheers,
Joe
