Riding in Montana

It's a little smoky in Montana today from the wildfires burning up North, but it was a sweet day for a ride.
The Big kawi and I rode through some hills, and stopped atop the rimrocks of Billings and took a picture of the bike and the smoky valley.
My wife asked me if I still loved her - I said "Honey, I love you more than new carburetor boots ! "

Was seriously kicking around moving there maybe 10 years ago ..... even bought a couple telephone books to check things out..... wife just can't leave the grown up boys behind though and guess I'm about the same way. Colorado or Wisconsin too... anything but Illinois.

700cc Wiseco kit 10 to 1.
1980 KZ750 cam, ape springs, stock clutch/ Barnett springs.
Vance and Hines Header w/ comp baffle and Ape pods, Dyna S and green coils, copper wires.
29MM smooth bores W/ 17.5 pilots, 0-6s and 117.5 main
16/42 gearing X ring chain and alum rear JT sprocket.

Yup. Been living here in Colorado since 1978 and would never go back to my home in the Great Lakes area, Detroit!
As I'm sure some of the Smokies are, the Rockiy Mountains are the bomb if you are a motorcyclist!!

Nice pic. I love Montana, grew up in Missoula. I don't miss the smoke and the long winters. Here is an old pic of mine before I rebuilt it and still lived in ZooTown
