Indian Summer, dead celebrities was created by Grumpy Ole Artist
While watching CBS Sunday morning yesterday, I became aware that it was the anniversary of the death of one of Darke county, Ohio's most famous sons/daughters, the inimitable "Little Sure Shot"... Annie Oakley. Having been eyeballing the weather for the weekend, I was planning on getting her out for a bit anyway, so I said to myself, "Self, the folks at the KZR board might get a kick out of this, time for a pilgrimage!" Powerstroke fan has probably been here, (as he is in the general area), but for those not fortunate to live close enough to make the trip, I have herewith attached the following historical "bike porn" (My buddy Mike calls these types of pics my "Roaming Gnome" shots, LOL !) I always bring a bullet (or at least a brass casing) to leave in the ground when I go, as sort of a "totemic offering to the shooting gods" The occasional passing car aside, this has GOT to be the most serene cemetary I have ever visited...temps were hovering around 50 farenheit, so it wasn't super cold, but wind chill at 60mph or so was a little painful. I hope you all enjoy, I did!

Nice pictures. I chuckled about the thing where you said you bring brass everywhere. I guess it's a cool thing/sign.

Leon, I did not know THAT! Fascinating!
mdouglas, glad to bring a chuckle! LOL! To be clear though, I don't carry brass/ shell casings EVERYWHERE I go, I just take one with me to leave at Annie's grave when I make a pilgrimage...(She was a sharpshooter, seems appropriate, LOL!)
