I'm against it :woohoo:

Got the day off , and it's the last good day this week so I'm riding, but I just turned back due to fog.

Gonna give it an hour and try again.

Once the fog is gone Id still be worried about the wet stuff left on the roads, especially being that cold B)

I waited till it got to 44 deg. still kind of foggy and yes wet roads

Every thing was fine until I got to where they were spreading manure on the fields  and tracking it back out on the road.

The phrase greasy as sh-t comes to mind , especially on a wet road , very slow going for a while.

I went to visit a sick friend and by the time I left it had warmed up to 55 and I had the sun in my face B)

I am realizing that the bike dislikes cold weather more than I do, the cable grease gets sluggish and I have a oil leak where the shifter rod comes out and makes shifting gears stiffer.

But in all it was still a good day to ride and I got to see my buddy.

hey....you get it done and stay in one piece ,plus you carry a camera sometimes...just be safe,as much as you ride ,you should be fine......if it feels dangerous , it is....seems to be a good mental note to self.....

My brother has been driving trucks for 30 yrs and told me a trick to driving in fog. You have to be careful obviously but he said if you pay attention and really LOOK at the fog as you are driving you can see if you are approching another vehicle before you actually see it. He said to watch the fog...basically a cloud....and when another vehicle passes through it, it will disturb it. It will seem to be moving. The air passing over the vehicle causes the mist to open up and then close creating a turbulence...you can actually see it...I tried it. Hard to see sometimes but you can see the fog moving around once a vehicle passes through it. Best not to drive in thick fog but if you get caught in it, this may help.

I do a lot of driving in the fog in my work truck, never let it stop me from going in.

But a bike is different, not worth the pain of having a cage cream me in the soup.

All the roads around me are rural two lanes and when I'm driving in the truck I just hope that I can find a set of tail lights and stay back a safe enough distance back to be able to stop if they hit their brakes or get into trouble.
Then I just hope that the car behind me is doing the same thing, so far so good.

Yesterday I probably had at least 500 feet visibility before I left .

Only took one shot when I got to my buds.

Happy Thanks giving everybody.
