Illinois Motorcycle Freedom Run
16 Jun 2012 10:19
Getting ready to head out , this will be our first time in the 12 years it has been going on due to the fact that I wasn't riding and it is definitely no place for a cage.
20,000 bikes were expected, but due to the beautiful weather and the untimely death of it's founder Tony Cutrano a couple weeks ago, I suspect that it might be even bigger.
We are not going on the ride, I've been on those before and didn't enjoy it very much.
Instead we will get there early crack a beer and watch every body roll in.
This should be interesting.

It was interesting, and enjoyable.
Where there 20,000 ?
I didn't count, but someone told me around 5000 went on the run,
and it took about an hour for all of them to roll by .
There where about as many there to meet them.
Still a lot of freakin bikes that descended on a town of 5000 today
I can't beleave all the money tide up in these things .
If everybody's bike was worth 1 grand that's 10 mill :woohoo:
I saw a couple bobbers that looked suspiciously like a Kz but no stockers.
Couldn't tell you at a glance if some of these bikes where metric or not
but there were a whole lot of twins.
Came home for a dip in the pool ,then we're going back
