Big sur/highway 1 ride...few pics

At first I was like...pfffft (saw the pic of whatever bike that was) kept scrolling, then saw the 900 and was like OH YEAH! Classic. Nice pics, good ride looks like.

Thanks for the memories, man. I lived in the Bay area around '68-'72. used to go down there with friends for a day on the beach or rocks or cliffs, drink a couple bottles of the local vino, smoke some local 'erb and talk to the seals. I especially liked the surf video. There was an SF radio station, had a night time show that played surf sounds between tunes. No DJ, just birds and an occasional seal barking. Life was good then.

i did a east coast to west coast ride 2 years ago and we rode RT1 down the west coast it was great.
i just had to do this in my life time

Awesome pics TRI, thanks for sharing. I have long wanted to see that country as I have a cousin in Hollywood and thought of renting something to ride from San Francisco south for a visit. Would be terribly hard to return home I'm sure.

folks rent mustang convertables a lot in S.f and drop em off in L.A

i drive HWY 1 to work and back and gray silver stangs with top down are like every third car.....my brother got one and let his son drive it down last time he was out from Va....

it is a very common vacation...the road is slow and winding and unreal.....bring a sleeping bag and some snacks and save a few bucks
