So the bike show is up and coming......camera is working and tickets are bought...no ride for me this year but i will post some pics and few videos of the event and maybe the ride in
the link has a clip to watch if you go half way down the page...seems like the same clip from last year......
I read a cycle world article about the event i went to and it bragged about the ride @ seca...i think it was written in 2010 and does not mention any track ride cancelled time...
just the show for me this year

Awesome bikes, Tri! Wish we had something like that around here. Glad you are back in the game. Kawickrice and myself had mentioned your name at the relay hand off a couple of Saturdays ago. Wondering about your whereabouts and missing your posts.
Did you get rid of your J-model?

among others....and all spares , not even a dish of bolts....everything...gone!!!... kept all my tools and one bike...that is how it will stay...no more collecting for me.....a new bike...yes...no more flexi flyer collections for me......
dont even want the ELR i have a line on...correction...i want it...but then it invites it's friends and it becomes a anchor around my life.....
if there will be another kz ect...than my green 900 will have to sell first....i am out of the game....if it aint on the bike that runs .....it goes in the trash......no goodies following me home anymore.....
i got rid of sooooooooo much stuff...stuff....it is useless

ever try and ride seven bikes.....
or eat seven apples
or think about seven things
or sing seven songs at once
thanks for the welcome..i'm glad to be back too....
now to try and adjust the valves on the A4 without buying stuff or adding shims to a secret hiding spot....one shim comes...one goes away......
i think it's called hoarding....painful

Tri You my friend have made the ultimate choice in keeping life simple so that it can be enjoyed! I probably tell myself ten times a week that what I have is what I'll keep and I'll sell some stuff off and before you know it, it spirals out of control again. Maybe KZ RIDER is partially to blame as I keep seeing all sorts of great projects that get me all fired up again. Chalk it up to help keep the economy going! Good for you!

Welcome back Tri! I can't wait to see some posts with Cali beachfront sunset pics again. We miss your posts for sure. I hope you are doing well. I was concerned when you hadn't posted in a while.
I understand getting down to one bike, but you didn't keep the MKII? Staying with your first love?
Good luck man. Let's get back to talking about the races.

not because i wanted to really....long story...but it is gone..
.as well as every last tid bit....one bike...no spares...i almost let the green 900 go to....at the last second i changed my mind and am glad...one bike is easy to justify
hence the desire to no repeat collecting...for there will be another...i find em like some folks find penny's

anyways...jacked up for the show and halfway daydream about just riding along after those jerks leave the lodge for the 300$ pre show ride the day before... and just dusting em....and passing em on the inside for an hour or so for pulling my chain last year...play nice ,i know..just a head movie... i would never do that to folks on bikes......Amy and I will ride to the show though and are really looking forward to a nice ride and day there... she is gonna shoot video from the bike as we haul ass there and of the scene as we roll in...should be a nice time...food....cali..music ... bikes....babes......i guess i'll go...someones got to
again thanks for the welcome home....
and dont think for second i really wanted to dump all the bikes...
I almost lost Amy...did for split second.....the bikes were unrelated kinda but needed dumping.....
Amy is sad too and we talk about the bike shop gone... we even may bite one day if a ELR or MKII turns up...
i would walk ...before i would let her go...i had to shed ballast..not much time to think ....but,it was my choice...good or bad, it is done....I have the only important thing and that is Amy...bikes are hunks of nothing really
Greg made that bike look unreal...i only hope when it lands in japan....the new owner enjoys it and rides it as much as Amy and I did
later

Well I'm sorry that you had to let that bike go. It was a stunner. They do become a disease on their own. I'm holding at three right now, but I do have to fight it from time to time. Just the other day a Z1B popped up on CL for $600. I started thinking about hiding it in my storage building because I know that Brandy would be pissed if I bought another project. In the end, it was gone before I got to look at it, but the urge was real strong.
For me, the joy of the ride is the main thing. As you say, you can only ride one at a time. Projects just weigh you down. Who cares if the bike is collectable when you have the wind in your face.
It sounds like you have your priorities straight. Just keep life simple and enjoy the good things that you have. I mean you do still have that gorgeous coastline for a backdrop on your rides right? Keeping your relationship intact is way more important than any bike collection.
Still got your camera right? I hope you get some good pictures from the Quail. You know I'll be watching.
