Well Squids,
We find ourselves with another year on the odometer and the only good thing for me is that the older i get the less i remember so it bothers me less the things i cant do no mo no how.

Luck?Fate?Comedy in the universe(my personal theory anyway)either way i scored this old beater MKII and will be riding that with a nice a coat of paint and a few things closer to nice ...maybe even be able to call it "nice" by next few years if i stay on task. here is a pic with the koni shocks installed ( 100 % transformation too,no more wobble or shake or jolts)and some blue pieces blacked out...went riding last night and saw a few early bird bikes rolling into town...foggy phone pic sorry.

.anyways i am even luckier ,because,i scored two weeks off work...woohoo.. starting today to just ride and enjoy the weeks as the bikes show and the races pop off and the big top circus falls down and the trucks leave...there are a ton of other events and shows going ..pics for sure...booty pics galore..stay tuned.. my oldest brother is coming out to cali right after the race, and we're going kayaking in the monterey bay for the first time together...i am way jazzed and although there were a few things i did not get to in time for the weeks riding on the bike..oh well next year...

economy issues tailed off some off the towns redbull shows for 2009,2010....that aside Yamaha never wavered and was good for hats and free stuff and great meet and greets ect....this year they are going way hard with the free fan stuff and the events look to be full for someone who wanted to hit all the stuff ,this is a good year....

we are gonna toss our bikes on the rack and go to the track for a sunset pedal around...the guys are gonna ride the track on their road bicycles tonight for a few hours...weather is real nice and it is quiet and sunny in the dry lake bed...cool..

rear calipers piston was riding the pads..surge as i roll to a stop,,,.hot rotor...roadside fix and pried em apart and pushed the piston back in and installed the pads...all with a flat head...nice to have that model rear disk and inspection caliper...no issues 5 minute roadside fix...installed new pads and i forgot to clamp the piston extra in for the old pads...oh well caught it before i rode too far..warp...ect...
firing up the bike for a 8 am run...the shocks..koni dail a ride are used and even at that they changed the bike so much...i had my first real fast corners since putting tires on...

nice to hear that you are going to be reporting the race weekend for all of us not fortunate enough to live where you do.

nice to have a few days to shake out ride the bike and relax and ride some more clean the bike......it has come a LONG way...so much more to do next year and really so far yet to go to be done for my goal,and the more you do the more each little thing sticks out to get cleaned and done next..the switch housings are beat up bad and the trees and yokes and bolts are rough...the black koni's look better imo .......the bike now has less head shake which is a big plus and it sits up when cooking along now ........ banks over into fast bends smooth ......... great rear feedback as you gas it out of corners...super cool...couple of garden shots as the sun warms up coming back from my morning rip...5-10 bikes out...today they arrive some....

two weeks of most spare time to get the veggies and stuff all built and tied for the next growth spurt...Adams squash seeds are jammin and giant pumpkin is going little shop of horrors with baby pumpkins on 15 foots stringers going a foot a day....see where we are at by late september...knee deep i hope.....heirloom tomato and a bunch of trick hybrids..squashes and zuchs...sages and spices...gonna do a giant winter garden for the first time in my life this year...
