The second annual KZ1000 Owners Club Tribute ride is Saturday June 11th at Central Vermont Motorcycles in Rutland VT. The gathering and ride honors the KZ1000, which dominated AMA Superbike in the early 1980’s. The club will meet at Central Vermont Motorcycles at 9 a.m. and leave at 11 a.m. for a group ride.
Last year, 25 riders came out for the event that featured two Eddie Lawson Replica bikes in pristine condition and KZ1000 memorabilia. The group ride was a spirited 145 miles through Granville Gulf, App-Gap and Brandon Gap.
Event organizers are hoping for an even bigger turn out this year, as more riders learn of the event. The ride is also schedule on the final day of the Americade event, which should attract riders heading east from the Lake George event.
