I plan on a cross country trip coast to coast leaving around July 20th. Mostly southern route to Vegas, Zion, Grand Canyon, then to Colorado ect. I plan on taking about 3 1/2 weeks to get to Maine. Any route tips or riding company welcome.

If you make it to Denver when you come through Colorado let me know. I have a '78 kz650 and I'd love to see how it stacks up to one thats tuned to go cross country.

Long ride! Should be a helluva good time. If you pass through northern Pa, I'm about 8 minutes off Interstate 81. Holler and stop by. I'll buy you dinner, lunch...whatever time of day it is and you can check your bike over at the shop if you like.

If you think you're going to be needing anything like a tire or whatever, plan ahead and I can make arrangements to help you get it taken care of.

I WISH I could go with you. Sounds like a blast. So...do you live in OR or ME? If OR, I'd be happy to do some shorter warm-up rides with you sometime. :)

(If only it would finally warm up! )

Started out a little later than expected. Been on the road 5 days and in Reno now. Best ride by far has been RT 299 in northern cali between Arcata and Redding. Lots of hills and banked curves, a crotch-rockets dream. Watch out for deer though. Tomorrow headed across Nevada via rt 50, "loneliest road" Hope I'm prepared...
