I had to ride to Illinois today to see a Doctor. About 100 miles.
After the Doctor visit I rode another 25 miles to see "Sonny".
He was a member but didn't post much at all. He dealt with a lot of members here by phone and email. I have his number in my cell phone.
He is a great Kawasaki mechanic that has built some record holding engines.
He had a huge stash of parts and was good for any hard to find part.
I asked for him at the front desk and was told he had got killed in a head on car/motorcycle crash when the car turned in front of him.
When I left I did a good burn out in his memory. He would have. Roy

i really hate hearing stories like this.
i don't think i heard of him but it's a shame when anyone loses their life, member or not.
i feel for his family. i wish them strength during this trying time.

Sonny worked at Phillips Pro Cycle in Carbondale,Il.
He got killed last year. His last post was eight months ago.
I only got to see him maybe a couple of times a year.
He had one bad bike. 1000R with a air shift with the air in the swingarm. The best electronics with a stutter box.
A real sleeper. Roy

Really sorry to hear that.
That's gotta be one of the most common accidents. A fed Ex truck got me the same way. Now I slow down at any intersection if there is someone in on-coming traffic in case they swing a left at the last second.
I hope Sonny's family are taken care of. I'll think of him when I ride.
