Very true and meaning well. Judging someone by how they look or what they are wearing or what they ride is pure stupidity. Everyone should drive as if their life and everyone else's is in danger. In my life I have seen quite a few drivers not paying attention and fooling around. trust me it's getting worse as time goes on. Unfortunately it also happens with 2 wheelers and 4 wheelers alike. I've seen bikes embedded in the back of 4 wheelers, a group of at least 10 bikers scattered across the road scattered there by another biker. Saw a biker drive a 4 wheeler right off the road because he was in a wheelie. Seen more than a few in triple digits on back roads in the wrong lane. Many riders without the right apparel. Seen large groups take up two lanes making passing impossible. Seen one biker so mad he took out all windows on a chick's car when he caught her at the light. Lots of showoffs remove both tatoos and good skin the hard way. So I'm just saying that "You didn't see me" goes both ways. Ride and drive safe! ;)

Sorry about your Bro.I have lost 4 friends in bike crashes. 3 were the cars fault 1 was speeding down a side street and a van backed out he and his pass. were killed the driver Clyde his head went through the side of the van and he was hanging from his head and to make things worse his mother was following him home and saw it.The boy on back had just married 3 days earlier. But you know we all take that risk and only the good die young Thats why I'm still here. I saw a lady weaving all over the interstate just the other day when I pulled on side of her she was texing away with a big line of cars behind her.Theres a time and a place for that not while driving.Sad but true..

Yup, that's why I always assume cars don't see me. That still won't help me if someone rear ends me from behind. Haven't been down yet knock on wood.

OP, a very thought provoking Video indeed! Having been knocked off my Bike ( By a UK Cop actually) I changed the way I ride.

Here are my safe riding tips.

Lights ON always.

Visible Clothing ( Currently an Orange & Black Frank Thomas Aqua Jacket)

Ride like they are all out to kill you, which lets face it, they are..

NEVER take someones turn signal as an Indication they will turn.

I keep back 2 car lengths from the vehicle in front, if some jerk takes the gap, I will drop back further.

Make eye contact, when overtaking do not just signal your intention to pull back in... POINT with your hand to where you are going to put your Bike, people "see" that, they don't see turn signals.

Never ride Drunk, Drugged, Angry or too fast.

Keep it rubber side down guys.
If you cant fix it with a Hammer....... it's gotta be an Electrical problem...

I've started making sure if I see a biker while I'm driving my car and we are going the same way , ill get behind him and make sure he has a good amount of space provided by somebody who knows how crazy it can be having a moron in an escalade texting on an Iphone damn near smear you across the road. So if any of you are riding in Ventura and see a little civic hatchback pop behind you and give you some breathing room , gimme a wave.
