Hi,looks like we lost a rider here in Ottawa Canada. One block away from me the road was closed for about 6 hours this morning. I had to follow a detour and in the middle of the intersection was a million bike pieces and a car wrapped around a pole. I asked the officer working the seen If the rider was okay he told we could not answer that question. I told him I was a fellow rider myself. He said to wait till it gets warmer outside before I take my bike out. It is like 14f and sunny some water melting in the sun and than freezing in the shade.

Sad news. :(

Besides ice, cold tires on a cold road are said to give poor traction as well.

I am sorry to hear that about anybody. The ones that die fast have it easy. It's the family, kids and friends who have the hard part. My heart goes out to all of them.
