Carburetor O-ring Kits
03 Dec 2025 09:00 - 03 Dec 2025 13:04
Carburetor O-ring Kits
Each set covers a set of 4 carbs. Cost is $21 shipped in the US, and $2 extra outside the country. Message for payment info (paypal, or cash).
All O-rings are Nitrile/Buna-N. These O-rings will swell slightly with gasoline contact, which helps improve the seal.
Mikuni VM Kit (VM26, VM28 (later version, not the Z1 version carbs), VM22, VM24
- 4 Pilot Fuel Screw O-rings
- 4 Pilot Air Screw O-rings
- 4 Drain Screw O-rings
- 4 Choke Plunger Cap O-rings
- 4 Bleed Pipe O-rings
- 4 Accelerator Pump nozzle O-rings (optional)
Most sets won't need all these parts, but I include them to keep it simple. If you want Optional O-rings for an accelerator pump, let me know in advance.
I also have O-rings for the most common size Fuel Tee & Transfer Tubes. If you want some of those, again, let me know in advance.
Mikuni BS/CV Kit (BS34, BS32)
- 4 Pilot Fuel Screw O-rings
- 4 Drain Screw O-rings
- 4 Choke Plunger Cap O-rings
- 4 Float Valve Seat O-rings
- 4 Pilot Plug O-rings
- 12 Fuel Tube & Vent Tee O-rings
Again, most sets won't need all these O-rings, but they are included regardless.
Keihin CV34 Kit (KZ750). These also fit the later year 440 ($15, for a half kit)
- 4 Float Bowl O-rings
- 4 Drain Screw O-rings
- 4 Pilot Screw O-rings
- 4 Pilot Plug O-rings
- 10 Fuel Tee, Transfer Tube, Vent Tee O-rings
Lastly, for those folks with the highest desire for DIY, I offer Mikuni Choke Plunger Viton rubber donuts for $20/set.
5 donuts per kit of carbs (one extra, because they are tricky to install). To remove the old seals, dunk the plungers in carb dip for a couple of days to soften the rubber. Heat can also be used, but that requires more care. To install, use silicone grease, a small screwdriver, your fingernails, and in my case, an old pick tool recontoured into a spoon shape. It's not easy to install these seals, but it's very doable (I've done more than a dozen sets of plungers). These donuts are flat, so if you have the later year BS34 carbs, with a raised lip on the rubber seal, these won't replicate that feature.

At this time of posting, I have several sets of accelerator pump diagrams, and a bunch of fuel tee's for center feed VM carbs. If you need fuel Tee's for the "dual feed" VM26's, I can accommodate those as well, by modifying the center feed Tee's on my lathe. Message or email to discuss as needed.
