Classic Days -Race weekend

It’s that time again next weekend: the "Classic Days" are taking place at "our" local racetrack, so there will be plenty to see. We’re going there with a few friends... I’ll let you know how it goes.

This morning at 10:00, I drove to the Classic Race Day with three friends; we had a lot of fun, and the sound was simply fantastic (the noise limit had actually been raised to 95 dB ). The air was thick with the smell of gasoline, and the atmosphere was wonderful... afterwards, we went for a short ride... tomorrow we're heading to a vintage vehicle market 70 km away... I'll let you know how it goes!

Thanks for sharing some of your weekend. Interesting you mention the air full of fuel and exhaust smell and engines just screaming making beautiful racket. Not much better than that.

Yes, that whole atmosphere—charged with all the smells and sounds—still gives me goosebumps. —Let the good times rock 'n' roll.

(And at sunny perfect weather, in a few minutes, we will start to the oldtimer sweap + meet, (( for sure: Mostly old cars, but somme good scooter will be there,..
...and as ever: The way to the event would be the target for me ;-=
 

That looks like a Lot of Fun Joe! Talked to my local Friend that used to follow the circuit of vintage racing yesterday. He used to race Honda CB500's and Yamaha RD350-400's, shoulder injuries stopped all that. What are the line of chaps hanging over the fence doing, hydrating/liquid courage for their turn haha.

Hi Clay, yes, on the track shown here, too, an agile 250, 350, or 500 is vastly superior... the corners are very tight; a 150 cm wheelbase makes things more difficult, whereas with, say, a 137 cm wheelbase and a steeper steering head angle—or a SuperMoto—you’d ride circles around the others

...and for me, highlight of the day:  An "Two lane blacktop-Replica" - `55 Chevy,... like the way i like soooo much, as an old Hot-Rodder i ever been...Reminds me of my wild days, back when I used to drive around in my chopped-and-channeled '32 Ford hot rods.

I'm going to the VRRA Vintage Road Race Assoc. weekend of racing at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park/Mosport here in Ontario Canada this weekend.
They don't sell beer as they do there.
I bet it would bring in more people if they did.

There's going to be a Concours Show, with different classes (Japanese, British etc).
I'm going to enter my KZ1000R in the show for judging.
If the weather is good, as it's an hour and 15 minute ride.
