Trucks & blind spots

   Found elsewhere as blind spots for the truck driver.
   
   Maybe somewhat overstated, as the convex mirrors may show the bikes' headlights as tiny bright dots.  But don't bet your life on it.

   The center bike is a good argument for positioning lane-left.

   Nonetheless, it's a useful graphic to help educate new motorcycle operators to become safe Riders.
 

   One major consideration not addressed in the pic is, not following too close in any position, side or rear.  A thrown tread can happen in an instant.  A recap tread alone weighs close to 100 lbs., and is approx. 10 ft. long.

Great advice and very topical here in the UK. On an almost daily basis cars get "spun out" on the motorway here  by foreign truckers in LHD cabs changing lane and not seeing cars alongside them. So on a bike you would have no chance !!!!!!

Maybe I've forgotten but I don't recall any tire tread on highways 50 years ago but nowadays there are bits and pieces all over.  Here on the left coast we are experiencing a rash of motorcycle fatalities this year.  One unfortunate ffellow ran into the back of an RV at high speed during a police chase.
