KZRider's Bike of the Year for 2025 ???

02 Jan 2026 06:40 - 02 Jan 2026 07:00
#920262
Hi Folks,
Every year we choose a Bike of the Year from our Bikes of the Month. These folks have produced and maintained some incredible machines. Please acknowledge their efforts buy selecting your preference.  Let's run this poll for a month. If you wish to catch up on the back story for each machine you can read about each of them here:
www.kzrider.com/forum/13-bike-related/59...the-month?start=1536
Also it's time for all of us to acknowledge Wookie58's diligent efforts through this whole year to organize and publish our Bike of the Month program.
Thank you Wookie58 !!!!!!
The poll is at the top of this page. I've posted one picture of each bike of the month, just as a tease.
Thanks
Bill/KZQ

My vote goes here:  Sept Docrot's awesome 750 twin

That said, it's a fine crop to pick from!  There are NO losers!  I particularly like the smaller bikes, not that a 650 or 750 is small per se.  It's just nice to see some KZ love for bikes less than 500 lbs!

Too bad we can only vote for one choice. I voted for the one I consider the best of the three I like the most. Good luck everyone!

This is actually a very tough decision . I have favorites, but I am biased and certainly not qualified enough to properly judge these beauties. I feel like I am doing a disservice to 11 motorcycles...but I made a choice.

They are all winners, but I voted for Rob's KZ1000R2.

I had to vote for a local KZ Rider, plus I am a bit of a sucker for the old lime green.

I have known Rob for a lot of years, met up with him at our local swap meet several times. In the past I have made the journey up North to his town and bought quite a few KZ frames, engines, and parts from him.

He is a dedicated and knowledgeable Kawasaki enthusiast, and I wish him all the best with his future projects.

Hey Folks,
Here in the last week of this Bike of the Year Race for 2025 the lead group consists of two riders. Rich, on his Moriwaki, has been looking at Doctorot's rear tire since Doc took the lead at the start. There may be some paint traded before it's over.
If you haven't voted, please join the fun. The poll is at the top/first of this thread.
Thanks

It seems a bit sad that out of over 32,000 registered members, only 28 people voted. Interest in such perfectly restored or build up bikes seems to have waned somewhat. What a shame! In any case, in my opinion, all the bikes shown here deserve full praise! You guys have built or restored some fantastic motorcycles!!! -...and of course, as always, a huge thank you to the admins who put in the effort and work to present the bikes here and organize the contest. Great work, admins and moderators!

Ride on !

Greetings, Joe

Joe I don't get it either, 491 people viewed the topic but still didn't cast a vote ???? I try to cover everything through the year to cater for all tastes (refreshed, stock, survivor, modified etc) maybe you guys can explain the lack of interest ??

Hi Guy, you and the team do an amazing job of presenting this competition, and all participants are winners. Personally I think that people looking at this, think that they will come back to it later to vote, but then move on and forget to return.

Hey Guy, I don't get it either, but I've noticed in almost every area of life that most people these days are "overstimulated" because they're constantly scrolling through every social media platform they can find... Anyway: I always see such beautiful pictures of well-built or restored bikes!! It doesn't necessarily have to match my personal taste, but I see the craftsmanship and the passion behind it, and THAT'S enough for me to appreciate it...!
Greetings, Joe

On the other hand...

It's good that only serious members voted.  If all the drive-bys voted, some scooter from china would be voted bike of the year.
