An 84 Ninja 900 (pre-production model) went for $55k.
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

The preproduction 84 Ninja we had in Lincoln was sold to an employee at auction, but was later brought back to the plant, dismantled and destroyed. I would have liked to have seen a picture of the V.I.N. of the one that sold, the number listed in the description looks like a mass production number? Hard to believe they built 400+ preproduction bikes!
Beautiful Bike, definitely a Kawasaki Benchmark!

So would these preproduction models explain why some vin numbers didn't start at '001', (as in the 77-kz1000A that starts at KZT00A000101), the first 100 being preproduction models ? Also here's a piece on that 84 Ninja that sold for 55k. Thanks....
