Wow, that one looks like a grenade went off in the cases. I had a CB750 that looked like that when a chain let go and doubled over between the front sprocket and the cases.

Given the matching "top and bottom" holes, the missing centre bridge between the cylinders and the absence of a piston I suspect this one put "a leg out of bed" (con-rod through the side)

Thanks for that. There is a '61 and a '60 going up for auction in Vegas soon. Not '62 but maybe close enough.

A '62 T120 Bonneville went today at Mecum for $11,000   www.mecum.com/lots/LV0123-546407/1962-triumph-t120-bonneville/   Looks like it has a very high end restoration just completed. Now it say the "bidding goes on", so I guess it didn't make reserve.

Bit of mix and match going on there. Would have maybe been worth a look if the base was a T120.
