Yep, undoubtedly the compression will go up a bit after it’s running but don’t check. Just put a number in your head that makes you happy unless of course you feel like tearing into the engine.
How about 190, 190, 190, 190?
How about 190, 190, 190, 190?

I got the carbs back together after sitting for weeks on my work bench waiting for parts, should be able to fire it up soon.
Also had the fuel tank filled to brim with vinegar ever since I got this thing two months ago. I drained it and then threw in a handful of 1/4" nuts and put a gallon of the cleanest vinegar I had left and did the shake shake thing a few times a day. This tank looked really nasty when I started this but it cleaned up really nice.

Nice job on the carbs. I’m a big fan of Viniger in tanks. I’ve save a couple with it…

Re: So.......I Bought A Turd And I Blame You Guys
19 Dec 2022 17:42Kelly when I spoke with the lady over the phone she told me the fuel tanks they send out to the painter are out of stock I got the last one. The more expensive painted in Japan set's are all they have in stock right now.
Wheelhop, I bought the maroon set for a 77 KZ1000 like the set ronnieV posted about the other day.

Oh great, thanks.
I'm not ready to order yet anyway. My original LTD tank is fine but small. It will be spring before I get to test ride it anyway. If you guys want to copy me I'm good with it.

Uh, I'm old but not that old.
My first new bike was an 80' Honda CB 650 Custom with the same paint job as the bodywork kit and I love the color scheme so I'll get a set maroon Z1 Parts body set for the LTD eventually.
We have 11 other bikes to ride in the meantime. At the moment my favorite is our 80' GS 1100E. At 538lbs and around 100hp with great handling it's going to be tough to beat.
Next summer we'll be going through the 83' CB 1100F to see if it's as good as our 82' CB 900F or better.
