When I bought mine new it was a step above the regular KZs.
sportier gas tank lines. triple disc brakes, bobbed chrome fenders.
Chopper styled seat and pipes with mag wheels
Flashier paintjobs .
Oh well . Toeach his own.

Do the LTD's on the 900/1000 not have more rake? On the 750's the LTD is at 30° whereas the 750E has 27°. I always assumed that was why people didn't want an LTD frame.
not to my knowledge, smaller rear wheel with larger tyre, maybe shorter shocks, mine has shocks the same length as the a1/2, handles great.

Not on the early big 4's mate, apart from tabs, exhaust and battery mounts and a few other bits and pieces the 73 to 78 frames were all the same. the Z1r is where things started to change but the rake stayed the same. Its just the sigma in the name, it was Kawasaki trying to make a chopper form a road bike but the bones of the LTD and all its siblings are the same.Do the LTD's on the 900/1000 not have more rake? Yea i think it was in 81 is where the start to play around with Rake on the LTD. Once again correct me if im wrong but even the 1980 B4 had the the same rake as the original big 4's.My 82 Ltd has an extra 2 degrees over a "J" and the forks are 20mm longer

That makes sense - the 1980 750H must have been the first experiment. Must have gone over well so they decided to mess with the big bikes
