I once scared the hell out of myself on a Ninja 900 - but not in the way you might think.

I was stationed in California and had a Ninja 250; my friend Jeff had the 900. One weekend we swapped and I took the bigger bike on some of the usual back roads. As I was heading down on to a straight stretch, I turned up the wick. At the end of that road is a long left bend leading up to a stop sign. I was accustomed to flicking the 250 into the turn but the heavier 900 did not flick the same way. I was approaching the shoulder and finally leaned hard to crank the bike over. Made it around the turn - barely - and decided to take a small break at the stop sign.

Another friend Andy was riding behind me and saw the whole thing. When he reached the stop sign his eyes were big enough to fill the visor on his helmet.
