I must now reassemble my mind after seeing the brake-splitter triple tree. That's awesome.

H1's came from the factory with that splitter set up. Not sure about H2's. Anyone?

H2'S were just like the Z1 setup.
Now the '73 S2 350 triple and the '74 and '75 S3 400 triples both had the brake fluid in the lower triple tree.

Here is the story about the modifications done to the swing arm and the swing arm pivot bolt. Way back in 1978 when I started building my Superbike, the rules stated you had to use a stock swing arm with out any additional bracing. Well what most of the top teams were doing was cutting open the swing arm and welding in some internal bracing then weld the swing back together. The only thing that gave it away was the two welds that ran the length of the arm!!!! That is what Pierre DesRoches did to my swing arm. Then in 1980 they allowed you to brace the swing arms. I added the lower hoop and bracing to my swing arm. I used some thick wall 4130 tubing on mine.

The biggest improvement to my swing arm was going to an oversize pivot bolt to eliminate the excessive clearance between the pivot bolt and its mounting bosses on the frame. The factory clearance is anywhere from .020 to over .040 thousands!!!! You want ZERO clearance there and also between the inner sleeve and the pivot bolt. I had just over .022 thousands between the frame and the pivot bolt. So I had my machine shop make up some oversize pivot bolts. Then I used an expandable reamer to open up the frame to fit the oversize pivot bolts. Then had the inner swing arm sleeve honed to fit the new oversize swing arm bolt. This setup eliminated any side to side play in my swing arm. I have to tap my swing arm bolt into place. The only giveaway of all this work is the fancy aircraft nut on the end of my oversize bolt!!!! I picked up doing this by the same fancy aircraft nut on the factory Kawasaki Superbike and the Yoshimura Superbikes!!!! When I asked the only English speaking Yoshimura mechanic about it. His reply was "You got good eyes to pick up on that"

This is the only thing that gives away the oversize swing bolt.

If you install the O.E.M. cam plugs backwards, they have that outer lip toward the inside. Its almost impossible for the cam plugs to pop out of place.

I think they showed us this trick at Kawasaki Service School!!!!

My home made fender eliminator. I used portions off of the old fender. My old fender was cracked. I had it welded but still didn't look good. So I used my cutting tool to cut back the fender past the crack and reinstalled it as shown. You can also see the back of the home made bracket I made ( flat aluminum bar which I hand formed with a hammer ) to hold the tail light.

Under the seat, it still seems like the fender is still there.

You can see the end of the bracket holding the light. I decided I liked it sticking out a bit. I also mounted the original license plate holder from the old fender as part of the assembly. Used hardened bolts in place of the original mounting bolts at the back of the fin.

My handy dandy carb support mod. Not that I ever had issue or ever heard of problems with the manifolds keeping the carbs secure. But after some jolts on a couple of rides on these country roads, I decided to give them some support. It is not actually attached to the carbs and they only sit on there via carb no. two. But there is no play for the carbs to move.
