Parts identification was created by Z1Rune
Hi all you proud owners of a Kawasaki Z. I am a owner of a Z1R, serial number ending with 140, so it's definetly a 78 model. What's confusing me is that it is equipped with a D3 fuel tank with center mounted fuel cap. I have searched the web for pictures of -78 models Z1R, all of them has fuel tank with gas cap mounted on the right side of the fuel tank. Does anybody know if it is a way to find out if this bike is delivered with the large fuel tank, or if it has been replaced ? Regards Rune

Thank you, Scirocco! I have the D3 tank, so the original tank has been replaced for some reason. Regards Rune
