Getting ready for AMA Vintage Days 2020 at Mid-Ohio

The hotels around the track are mostly filled up for 10-12 July. Normally I stay in a decent mid-tier hotel about 7 miles away, but made reservations late this year and ended up in a nicer hotel (in the same area) so I wouldn't be 15+ miles away from the event. When I booked the hotel last week, even that place had only 5 rooms left.
The next step is to get the hitch receiver installed on the vehicle so I can bring a bike to the VJMC area.
Is anyone else here planning to go?

We'd inquired to Mid-OH about a month ago about refund policies for vendor spaces re: outright cancellations due to CV-19. Response was Mid-OH would wait until AMA ruled GO/NO GO before making that decision.
Unrelated: An email from VJMC yesterday indicated their policy would be to evaluate & rule on each individual regional/national VJMC event GO/NO GO status 30 days prior to each scheduled VJMC event.

If Mid-Ohio wimps out, my backup plan is Barber in the fall.

Only the suicidal. Is anyone else here planning to go?
850 people died yesterday from the Chinese virus, you are risking your life.We are unless AMA pulls the plug.
The decision will be June 10th.An email from VJMC yesterday indicated their policy would be to evaluate & rule on each individual regional/national VJMC event GO/NO GO status 30 days prior to each scheduled VJMC event.
There will still be thousands of people spreading the virus in June.
I am the messenger, direct any anger you have to china.
I bought three project bikes last fall, I thought I went over board for a while but now I am happy to have them.
I walk five miles each day, 2.5 in the morning, 2.5 in the afternoon, rest of the day I work on old bikes.
Four vaccines have started clinical trials, phase 1 is a safety test to see if there any bad side effects followed by two more phases for efficacy (does it work).
Best hope is a vaccine in September, two companies are working on ramping up vaccine production before clinical trials complete, very risky (money), but this is a crisis.

Yep, I saw that email - will definitely be keeping an eye on things over the next couple months. If the event is canceled, it will be disappointing but not the end of the world. I figured waiting for the 30-day notification would lead to being in a hotel 40 miles away.

I haven't made it to Barber yet. That's a longer trip but would definitely be worthwhile.

IF we go:
The Wounded Z to sell.
An old Honda Hobbit moped to get around on.
Beer.
We're still ruminating on it. Lots to consider. Might just sacrifice the cost to protect our health & stay away. same for the VJMC National at Spring Mill.
