Might Buy - 1977 KZ1000 LTD

Anyway, there's a 1977 KZ1000 LTD about 8 miles away with a clean title. Guy is firm at $1900. It's got 27K on it, runs good. Doesn't have original air box. He said paint is not original.
I can wait for a better deal, but it's local, has a clean title and $2k is my limit right now.
FWIW, I've searched many threads here and I saw some of deals people have gotten. I think it might be a little on the high end but convenience because it's close and I don't plan on a full restoration. I'll change the bars, seat, blinkers, maybe rattle can the tank/fender/covers...and ride the hell out of it.
Any thoughts/feedback on price?

Make him an offer and see if he'll dicker.
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

Thanks. I'm in NW PA (Mercer County). The bike's in good shape, runs good but the clutch is very stiff. The 4 into 1 Kerker makes it sound real good. A little deeper tone than my '78 KZ650. The bike has everything except the airbox (but might be available). The $1900 is the negotiated price. He had it listed for $2300.

Huh? WTF are you talking about?
Anyway, I'm going to pull the trigger, sorry to z1kzonly. And even though I might modify the bike, I'll always keep the original equipment..sorry Mikaw

Just came back from a quick 30 mile run..she runs nice. The more I'm looking at it, I'm also thinking it is the original paint. The seller specifically said it wasn't original (info he got from PO) but the graphics are correct and in good shape. So maybe I won't be doing a rattle can paint job...but I'm still changing the seat, handlebars and turn signals and take off the case/crash bars and big grab bar..
