Thanks Dave, Pikes Peak hillclimb is a great race and a fun road to ride but like he says altitude change messes with your performance big time
It was nice to see it from a riders view point, it brought back good memories.
I was lucky to have camped around the 5 minute mark about 10,000 ft for a race back in the 80's before they black topped it all the way, so cool
You can hear him struggle for power when he gets to the snow.
