Kz750 twin hard to electric start when cold

Are all kz750 twin a pain to start with electric start cold has new battery tho cheap everlast brand it does kick start after a few kicks but it's like kick starting a old Harley runs well is this normal

I think it's normal for a bike that has some issues. The twins have big pistons and they'll kick back even if things are entirely correct but less so when they are? What steps have you taken to diagnose the trouble?

The only time my 750 twin was difficult to start was when the battery was weak. It is not normal.

The 750 twin with stock BS38 carbs has a specific starting routine when cold.
Choke (enricher) on (up), no throttle (any throttle floods the carbs as the enricher already adds extra fuel)
Clutch lever in, hit the starter button
