Devilbiss Finishline FLG4 air cap problem. was created by JohnLuke
So I just bought a flg4 and ran air through it to see how my compressor would hold up at 23 psi. I put it down and left it over night, like an idiot. Now the air cap has water marks and seems to be slightly rough to the touch. Is that gonna cause a problem?
Thanks!

So I’ve bought three so far. All of them are the same. I talked to a dude that said it was where they anodized the brass. Is that correct? Does that sound right?
Thanks!

No, it does not sound right to me. I believe you will find that brass cannot be anodized. Maybe he was confused or just making up a story. Ed

Anodize is for aluminum, chrome is for brass.
I don't think those minor marks are going to cause a problem.

Really? Okay, great! I’m glad to hear someone say that it probably won’t cause any issues.
I guess it’s more the fact that it’s there that bothers me. There are machinery marks on the inside. Ik that’s normal. Very small machinery marks.

I did just talk with devilbiss, and they said it’s brass, but it does have aluminum.
